Starting a new Word Press Blog can be intimidating if you’re a newbie. It’s even more intimidating if you were to get into code hacking and customizing your blog. With all the Word Press plug-in and themes to choose from it could be a little over whelming for a person who is just starting to blog. In my opinion as a newbie, Word Press is the way to go. I used Frontpage and Dreamweaver when I first started building websites. It was pretty expensive software but I had to have it in my arsenal. I thought that I had the best software until I found WP. Word Press is an open source blog publishing application. It’s the web2.0 of all open source application.
Developers of Word press creates a templating system, that incorporates widgets which can be arranged in many ways without editing HTML and PHP code, also including hundreds of WP Themes that can be installed and switched out for a new look when you choose too. The word press themes can also be customized by editing its PHP, HTML and CSS codes. Word Press features a search engine-friendly permalink structure and an integrated link management system.
There is so much to learn about word press and I am so glad I experimented with this open application, I now use word press as my website building tool. This article was suppose to announce my new Word Press Blog but I did get a little carried away.
